Brian is a clarinet and Tenor Sax player in the Old New Orleans Style similar to that of the Old day's in Preservation Hall.
Brian first visited New Orleans in 1973, and was fortunate to become friends with many of the original old musicians who embraced this music in the early day's of Jazz in New Orleans who forged the music they heard and played into the Authentic Style that is New Orleans.
Brian took clarinet lessons from two of the Great Clarinet player's of the day in the 1970's, Paul "Polo" Barnes (Joe King Oliver and Jelly Roll Morton Bands) and The Clarinet Wizard Albert Burbank who worked with Avery "Kid" Howard and Celistine's Paddock Lounge Band.
Brian has been featured with many bands in Germany, Holland, Denmark and Sweden as well as England and has featured with bands in USA including "The Preservation Hall Band of New Orleans" and The Happy Pals in Canada.
